Wilhelmina E. Diop

Wilhelmina is a passionate solar energy professional with an extensive experience in rural Africa, especially on gender and energy issues. Wilhelmina Diop is one of the Founders of HelloSolar , first Pay As you Go  solar in Ethiopia , and heads the Marketing and Customer Care of the company. Through her work with HelloSolar, she has championed a customer centric and gender conscious approach to business. 

She has work experience in both the private and public sector. She worked in the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development in Senegal as well as in various solar energy distribution companies in Africa. 

She grew up in Senegal and studied Energy and Sustainability in Amsterdam University College, the  Netherlands and Quest University,  Canada. She also holds and a master degree in Solar Energy Engineering and Management from Albert Ludwigs University, Germany.
